Dementia Education and Training Centre Program
Do you care for someone living with a diagnosis of dementia? Then this FREE course – Seasons for Growth, may be for you.
Seasons for Growth is a group for people to understand and to cope with change, loss and grief.
Seasons for Growth educates people about the grief process and assists them to develop skills for coping, problem solving and decision making. The program also builds a peer support network and helps restore self-confidence and self-esteem.
Grief is not just about coping with death but all kinds of changes in your life. This course helps you to:
- Talk about your feelings
- Meet other carers experiencing similar issues
- Understand that life is always changing like the seasons
- There are things we can do to accept and deal with the ‘seasons’ in our life
