ReThink Respite Online encourages us to set a personal goal to focus on over the program. Goals previous carers have set include things like:
-Being able to go away on an interstate holiday for a week by the end of the year
-Getting back into a hobby like painting or golf once per week
-Spending more quality time their partner by doing an activity they previously enjoyed
-Spending more time with family (e.g., watching the grandkids at dancing)
What goal are developing to work towards over the program?
It can be helpful to discuss personal goals with other carers to get ideas about how respite services/strategies could help us work towards those goals.
